On Thursday May 9, 2019 seven Abingdon-Avon CUSD #276 staff members were recognized at the 2nd Annual Excellence in Education Banquet:

Mindy Riney, Jamelia Tinkham, Stephanie McKinley-Miller, and our District Guidance and Social Work Team (Cordan Beebe, Denise Phillips, Margie Winski, and Stacy Nagel)

Over the next week, each one of these amazing staff members will be highlighted.

Today, it is my honor to highlight Mrs. Margie Winski.

Mrs. Winski was selected as a member of A-Town's Awesome Guidance and Social Work Team. Along with Cordan Beebe, Denise Phillips, and Stacy Nagel, Mrs. Winski is doing great things for the students in our district. These four caring individuals are a vital part of the support system so many of our students and families need. The lengths that they go to for our students has no limit. You would amazed at the behind the scenes efforts this team puts in on behalf of our students and families.

According to Avon Campus Principal, Mrs. Kristi Anderson:

Mrs. Winski has mastered the art of serving others.  She is not only the constant support system for our Avon Campus students, but the rock for our staff as well.   Mrs. Winski is able to balance the needs of an elementary building, teaching character development and soothing little broken hearts; while supporting our ever changing middle school students and their multiple needs.  She excels at helping students through trauma and always goes the extra mile to ensure they know they have an adult to rely on.  Besides her counseling duties, she has become the administrations right hand, helping to solve everyday problems from creating schedules to covering classes.  Mrs. Winski is a positive force within our campus and we count ourselves and our students lucky to have her!
