Abingdon-Avon High School

On Wednesday, October 23rd the Abingdon-Avon high school Student Council in cooperation with the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center held their annual blood drive. The goal was to collect 33 units of blood and thanks to the donors 40 units were collected. The 40 units collected will help up to 160 people. Because the goal of 33 units was surpassed Student Council earned $290 through LifeSavings Grant to be used for a charitable cause or to fund leadership opportunities for Student Council Students.  A big thank you to all who donated, Student Council, their sponsor Mrs. Waller, and the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center. Without everyone's commitment this would not be possible.
