Today in library with Mrs. Anderson, we celebrated Dot Day. Kindergartners, 1st graders and 2nd graders colored a circle shape and used an app called Quiver to show augmented reality!

We had a surprise visit from our friends at the Knox County Sheriff's Department! They enjoyed a game of Kickball with some of our 5th graders at lunch recess.

Mrs. Darst’s first grade class in Avon has been reading Waiting on the Biblioburro this week. It’s about a librarian who had two burros that carried books to children in the villages who did not have access to books. They could check out books and then the Biblioburro would come back in a few weeks for them to get new books. Rob Janssen and his mom, Jody brought his two donkeys for the Kindergarten and First grade students to see. The donkey’s names are Jack and Diane. They learned a few facts about the donkeys and got to pet each of them.
