Update: The National Honor Society induction ceremony planned for Monday evening at the high school has been postponed. When a new date is set an update will be sent out.

SAT Prep classes are cancelled until further notice.

D276 Update: Due to the nature of this unprecedented shutdown, expectations & guidelines are constantly changing. To avoid sending out numerous corrections & changes, the district will post info related to: Essential Services, Meal Distribution, Medication Questions, & Emergency Situations on Sunday @ 5:00PM. Additionally, school will be in session on Monday, with an early dismissal time of 11:30. Thank you for your cooperation.

Monday evenings National Honor Society induction ceremony at the high school is scheduled to take place as planned. If there are any changes a notification will be sent out.

Immediate Update: Illinois Schools Shut Down beginning Tuesday March 17 through March 30th. Abingdon-Avon Specific Information will be shared shortly.

This afternoon the high school students were treated to a portion of this years high school musical: Legally Blonde Jr. Great job everyone.

The High School Spring Sport Photos have been rescheduled to 3/17 at 3:30pm. #GoTornadoes

AAHS UPDATE: AMEREN has been onsite and cleared the building & the surrounding area as safe. We appreciate your patience and understanding that student & staff safety is our top priority. The mysterious odor has dissipated. Evening events will continue as scheduled: all practices will be voluntary (contact your coaches/directors). Parent/teacher conferences will go on as scheduled.

Important Update: At the recommendation of AMEREN AAHS will he dismissed for the day immediately to investigate a mysterious odor. We appreciate your understanding. Students who need transportation will be taken home via school bus. Early dismissal only affects the HS. More info to follow.

Congrats to Dylan Klingler for placing 2nd in the ACES Sectional Engineering test. He will advance to State at EIU on April 21.


Congrats to Dylan Klingler (1st place in Engineering), Blayne Bradshaw (3rd place in Engineering), and Halee Hendel (3rd place in English) at ACES Regionals on 2/13.
