The special education department at AAMS hosted a Thanksgiving Feast today! It was a huge success. Thanks to the administration and board members that were able to attend to make it extra special!





Congratulations to the AAHS November Students of the Month. Anthony Capatini, Skylar Ashby, Emma Ginther, and Drake DeJaynes. Students were selected by the AAHS staff for the character trait: Work Ethic.


Christmas Ornament forms will be coming home this week. Student may bring forms and money to the music room, the office, or to the concerts. Forms will also be available at the concerts. Pictures will start at 6:00 Pm and continue until 6:50 Pm in the high school music room. Concert will start at 7:00


A-Town WMOI/WRAM Athlete of the Week for Nov. 17th, 2019 is Ryan Adolphson. Ryan was one of the most versatile players in the Prairie Land Conference. Ryan was an All-Prairieland Conference 1st team selection. He caught 13 passes and opened run lanes for A-Town. Congrats Ryan

A-Towns WMOI/WRAM Athlete of the Week for week ending Nov 10th, 2019 is Emma Curry. Emma earned Prairieland Conference's All-Conference first team. Emma was a 95% server, along with hustling her way to a total of 169 digs and averaging over 3.5 kills per match. Congrats Emma!


The stage is set for tomorrow's performance! Come out to the Abingdon-Avon High School Auditorium to see the Band and Choir perform what they have been working on all trimester. The concert is scheduled to begin at 7 pm and we hope to see you all there!

The Abingdon-Avon High School ‘T.W.I.S.T.E.R’ Program created a Kindness Tree to celebrate World Kindness Day on Wednesday, November 13th. During Mentoring this morning, AAHS students wrote kindness quotes on colorful hands to be displayed on the Kindness Tree! Congratulations to Abingdon-Avon Seniors Emma Curry and Drew Hecox for being selected as Illinois State Scholars.The State Scholar Program recognizes students attending approved high schools for outstanding academic achievement. To be considered for State Scholar eligibility students must perform in the top one-half of your high school class at the end of the third semester prior to graduation and/or score at or above the 95th percentile on the ACT or SAT.


A-Town WMOI/WRAM Athlete of the Week for week ending Nov 3rd, 2019 is Parker Stoneking. Parker caught 2 passes for 97 yards and a TD against Kirkland Hiawatha. Parker had 14 catches on the season with nearly half of them for TDs. #GoTornadoes
