Info for Sr. Kick-off
Middle school cross country practice next week is Monday- Friday from 3:30-5:00 at the middle school. Monday-Wednesday’s practices are optional due to early dismissal and transportation difficulties. If you cannot make these practices let me know and I can send you a workout routine for next week. There will be an activity bus at 5:30.

On Thursday. August 8, there will be a Fall sports meeting at 6:00p.m. for all parents of student athletes that play football, volleyball, and cross country at the High School.
Nominations ballots for the Don Viar Memorial Wall of Fame are available in the Abingdon-Avon High School office.. The deadline for nominations is Friday, September 6th. The induction ceremony will take place on Friday, September 27th during the Homecoming game. Please contact the High School office with any questions.
Parent-Player meeting Thursday August 8th @ 6pm @ AAHS for ladies interested in ATown Volleyball for this upcoming season. Athletes will be completing concussion baseline testing after, this testing must be done before athletes may practice.

Today is bowling day for the T.W.I.S.T.E.R. Program! We were happy to have Mr. Weedman join us for a game! 🎳
On Tuesday evening, the ATown T.W.I.S.T.E.R. Program held a ‘End of Summer Cookout/Parent Night’ for the students that participated in Strength & Conditioning summer session & their parents. We had beautiful weather, lots of food & Dr. Curry was even behind the grill! Thank you to all of the students & parents that attended!

Our Lady Tornadoes finished up volleyball camp today! I’m so proud of the growth these girls showed this week in the heat!!
Reminder about changes for Volleyball Camp due to extreme heat for Friday July 19th- Middle School Camp is from 8am-10am and Elementary Camp is 10-11:30. High School Camp has been cancelled for the day.

Friday - Middle School 8-10, Elementary 10-11:30. There will be NO high school camp Friday.
Students & staff of the AAHS T.W.I.S.T.E.R. Program are making tie dyed t-shirts this week! Wednesday we are making tie dyed shirts & baking personal pizzas and on Thursday we will be going bowling! All AAHS students are invited... We only have a few weeks left of our Summer Program, so come out & have some fun w/us!

Kindness Rock Project.... AAHS T.W.I.S.T.E.R. (Summer) Program has painted kindness rocks & hidden them throughout Abingdon... if you find one, our hope is that it makes you smile!!
