Students in Survey of Tech created gingerbread houses on a 3D computer program called, Sketchup. Today, they have to recreate their 3D drawings into real life gingerbread houses.

A-Town would also like to recognize Robert Hugo Dunlap (October 19, 1920 – March 24, 2000) from Abingdon who was an United States Marine Corps major who received the Medal of Honor for heroism above and beyond the call of duty as a captain of a rifle company during the Battle of Iwo Jima in World War II. Dunlap Gymnasium is named in his honor.
Happy Veterans Day to all who have served our country! A-Town would like to recognize James Bond Stockdale (December 23, 1923 – July 5, 2005) from Abingdon who was an United States Navy vice admiral and aviator awarded the Medal of Honor in the Vietnam War, during which he was an prisoner of war for over seven years. Stockdale Auditorium is named in his honor.
