AAMS will be participating in a lockdown drill with local police departments this morning. This is a yearly requirement through the ROE.
Congratulations to seventh grader, Mirrah Cardona, who earned 3rd place with her 2-D artwork over the weekend. Ms. Harrison entered Mirrah and several other students' work in a local art show for 7th-9th graders.

The pictured Interact Club students (minus 2) held 50/50 raffles at the Middle School boys basketball and girls volleyball games. The $1200.00 generated from their efforts were divided between the three food pantries that serve families in our communities. The A-Town Interact Club is honored to support the efforts of the food pantries to help the families in our communities.

The AAMS scholastic bowl meet for today is being rescheduled for a later date.
It's time to gear up and show what we know! As we get ready for state testing (March 16-20), join in for a week of spirit dress-up days to help us shift into high gear. Wear your daily "gear" and let's power up our brains for success!

Miles of Smiles dental check-ups will be at Abingdon-Avon Middle School on March 2. If your child has not turned in their form, please have them do so ASAP. If your child needs a new form, Nurse Froelich has them in the office.

A-Town Boys Basketball defeats R/W tonight 63-28 to advance in the IHSA 1A regionals. They will play @ 6pm against Illini Bluffs on Wednesday, 2/25/26, at Galva H.S.
In 8th grade ELA students are doing a mini unit on poetry forms. Today they all made an erasure or blackout poem.

AAMS Volleyball Update:
In order to give players and their families enough time to attend the AAHS sectional game on Tuesday, we have moved the volleyball game time up.
The game will start at 3:45 at AAMS vs. Costa.
