The MS track meet scheduled for today has just been canceled.
Tonight’s MS Track meet at ICS has been cancelled and will not be made up. There will also be no track practice tonight.
The custodial staff will be administering weed control treatment to the Avon Elementary/ Abingdon-Avon Middle School property on Saturday, April 13th. Pursuant to our Integrated Pest Management Policy and the Lawn Care Products Application and Notice Act, you are hereby notified of the application of the weed control substance and treatment.

Reminder: IESA Solo & Ensemble Contest is tomorrow. Participating students need to be at the Avon Campus or AAHS by 7 am to catch the bus with their instruments, music, and in concert dress. Good luck to our performers!

The AAMS Student Council is sponsoring Spirit Week during IAR testing for the next two weeks to keep our students motivated to DO THEIR BEST ON THE TEST! Below are the dress up days for each day of testing!
Tues 3/26 - Don't sweat the test (wear sweats and hoodies to school, no Pajamas!!!)
Wed 3/27 - Ready to Shine Day (wear bright neon colors)
Thur 3/28 - Test didn't even see us coming (wear camouflage to school)
Tue 4/2 - Teachers are your biggest fans (wear sports teams shirts to school)
Wed 4/3 - Hat's off your done! (wear a hat to school)

AAMS will begin offering After School Tutoring on March 19th. Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays Time: 3:30-5:00 Where: Mrs. Hayden’s Room/Mrs. Kitch’s Room Who: Any 6th-8th grade student Transportation: Bussing to Abingdon-Avon High School will be provided at 5:00 for those students who reside in Abingdon. The bus will drop off at the HS at approximately 5:15pm. Those students residing in the Avon area will need to be picked up at AAMS at 5:00. Pi Day was soooo much fun!
Pi Day at AAMS! Students who memorized the most digits of Pi got to pie a teacher in the face! Mrs. Anderson had 5, Ms. Travis had 3, Ms. Britt had 1, Mrs. Ebert had 1 and Ms. Davis had 1!
There will be an informational meeting for MS track tomorrow for students. Information will be sent home. The first practice will be after school on March 18th, with a parent meeting to follow.

This was the most intense game of Blink I’ve ever watched! We ended the trimester with a game day to celebrate the students that got all their work turned in.
