Reminder: 6TH GRADE ORIENTATION

Where: AES Gymnasium
Please come join us for an introduction to Middle School. We will start with the sharing of important information in the AES gymnasium, after which you will be given a guided tour of the buildings. Many of the 6th grade teachers, along with other staff, will be present to meet students and answer questions!
Please do not park in the middle parking lot between the buildings as we will be walking through the lot for the tours.

There will be no Pre-K in Avon on May 4 for teachers to attend a mandatory training.

Yesterday was A for Art on our ABC Countdown. The kindergarteners painted beautiful sunflowers 🌻

Tuition Waiver Hearing

NOTICE is hereby given that a public hearing will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at 6:45 p.m. in the Abingdon-Avon High School Auditorium, 600 W. Martin St., Abingdon for waiver of State Board Rules and/or School Code mandates to waive Section 105 ILCS 5/10-20.12a which would permit the district to eliminate the tuition charge for non-resident children of all full-time employees of Abingdon-Avon CUSD #276 for the next five years (2022-23 to 2026-2027).
Thank you to the Abingdon-Avon Key Club for assisting our elementary students today with an Easter Egg Hunt. The kids loved having you hang out with them!
Reminder - Tomorrow, Thursday, April 14th is an early dismissal day for D276 for Spring Break. AAMS will dismiss at 1:55, AAHS will dismiss 2:10, and AES/HGS will dismiss at 2:20. School will resume on April 19th. Have a fantastic break!

Monday: Bring your favorite silly book to school and wear a silly outfit.
Tuesday: Bring your favorite sports book to school and wear your favorite team apparel.
Wednesday: Wear green, because we will read Green Eggs and Ham in class.
Thursday: Wear silly socks, because we will read Fox in Socks in class.
Friday: Bring your favorite book to read. You may wear your favorite color or dress up like your favorite Dr. Suess character.
