Today I was lucky enough to take 6 4th graders to Galesburg to visit the birthplace of Carl Sandburg. We took our collected pennies, which totaled $1195.52 which we collected from all grades at Hedding. We also presented information about what we have learned about Carl Sandburg. It was a nice experience for those students.

4th grade uses a reward sytem involving the use of T-bucks. Students then purchase rewards with their earned T-bucks. Avery purchased show and tell and brought her rabbits to show the class.



4A's hands on practice using data to find mean, median, mode, & range. We built towers with oreo cookies. The goal was to see how many you could stack before it fell over. This is the data we collected. It was a sweet lesson!
