In a effort to be proactive against an unpredictable daytime winter weather advisory that includes potential for late afternoon ice that could impact road conditions for buses, young drivers and staff- D276 will dismiss today at 11:30.

After the first two weeks of the new traffic pattern on Latimer Street in front of Hedding, parents and staff have reported how smoothly the transition to a one way has been and how much less chaotic it is for drop off in the morning and pick up after school. As such, our students are safer. Thank you to parents, community members, Chief Cates and the Abingdon Police Department and Dr. Curry and our school board for making this change happen and be successful.
Just a reminder to those dropping off and picking up, please make sure not to block driveways of houses on Latimer and Swartz when parking, and make sure to not park in red zones, where the curb in painted red.
Thank you again for your cooperation to make before and after school safer for our students.

Glasses found at Hedding.
These glasses have been in the office for a week and have not been claimed. If your student is missing their glasses please contact the Hedding Grade school office.
