Robot Camp wrapped up with a bang today! We're so proud of all they accomplished this week...A-Town has some amazing future engineers!
Day three of Robot Camp was all about sumo wrestling...
It's Robot Camp week!! These students are learning how to build, program and compete with Lego Mindstorms... they're creativity is inspiring! We did laser racing and line following today. Can't wait for sumo wrestling tomorrow!
Girl's Basketball Camp for girls going into 3rd - 8th grade starts tonight! Camp will run Mon-Thurs, 5-7 pm at AAHS. The cost is $40 per camper. No need to register early, just come to camp tonight and register at the door.
The A-Town Athletic Dept. and OSF are partnering again this year to offer sports physicals for athletes going into 6-12 grades at the OSF Clinic in Abingdon. The cost is $10 per athlete. The will be held on July 17th from 3:45-6:45. Call 309-462-2343 to make an appointment.
Reminder: AAMS will be offering a Summer School program for the month of June for all incoming 6th graders through incoming 8th graders. To register your student for the program, please call the Middle School office at (309) 465-3621 by Friday, May 31st.

Reminder: 6th Grade Orientation is tonight in the cafeteria at Avon Elementary School for all current 5th graders who will be coming to MS next year. Starts at 6pm. Hope to see you there!
The first graders had a scavenger hunt in their classroom to find 3-D objects! They classified the objects as 3-D shapes according to the attributes of the shapes!
Abingdon-Avon Middle School is investigating reports of a natural gas odor at our Middle School campus. Students and staff have been moved to a safer location until Ameren arrives to assess. We will not be able to answer phones. Please call the Avon Elementary if you need to contact the building. We will put out more information as we get it.
